The Mangrove Conservation Foundation visits the IMC

On February 18, the Mangrove Conservation Foundation (MCF) visited the Interim Secretariat of the International Mangrove Center (IMC). The two sides carried out in-depth exchanges on topics such as international cooperation in mangrove protection and IMC financing, and initially determined the direction of cooperation.

Dicussion exchange between MCF and IMC

Prof. Bao Daming, Vice President and Secretary-General of the China Wetland Conservation Association and Director General of the Interim Secretariat of the IMC, welcomed the visit of MCF and introduced the recent work of the IMC. He expressed his expectation that IMC and MCF will work together to promote IMC development and global mangrove conservation, especially in jointly participating in the upcoming 15th meeting of the Conference of the Contracting Parties (COP15), and raising funds to explore sustainable development models. 

Ms. Sun Lili, founder and vice chairperson of the Mangrove Conservation Foundation, shared successful financing cases of MCF in the field of mangrove protection both at home and abroad. She stated that MCF will leverage its advantages in resource integration and practical experience to actively promote dialogue and cooperation between the two sides in areas such as talent exchange, improvement of fund-raising mechanisms, and expansion of international mangrove conservation projects.

This exchange deepened the consensus between the two sides on the future direction of cooperation and laid a foundation for promoting cooperation in mangrove conservation. Both sides will maintain close communication, expand cooperation areas, and jointly promote the development of global mangrove conservation.
